Found in California in moist meadows as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 5 to 7, linear-acute leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 16" [40 cm] long overall, simple, rachis 10" [25 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence carrying flowers that smell like sweaty feet.
