Common Name The Rio Taus Platystele [A river in Costa Rica]

Found in Cartago province of Costa Rica at elevations around 1200 meters as mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect, slender ramicaul enveloped by 2 to 3, thin, imbricating tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, conduplicate, subacute, conduplicate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, slightly congested, distichous, .6” [1.5 cm] long including the .28 to .4” [7 to 10 mm] long peduncle, successively few flowered inflorescence with acute, conduplicate floral bracts.
