"Pleione arunachalensis sp. nov. shows affinity with P. chunii and P. hookeriana but differs from the latter two in having broadly ovate lip with obtuse apex and minutely undulate margin; lip purple with brownish yellow towards the apex; 4 rows of papillae on the disc and column apex truncate.
