Common Name The Confused Pleione [Natural hybrid between P. albiflora X forrestii] - In China Fang Xiang Du Suan Lan

Found in northwestern Yunnan province of China and northern Myanamar and is a natural hybrid between P forrestii and P albiflora as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial or lithophyte with green to dark olive green, conic-ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, not developing at flowering, elliptic-lanceolate to oblanceolate, acuminate leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect to suberect, reddish, 1 to 2" [2.5 to 5 cm] long, single flowered inflroescence with a pale maroon with deeper maroon venation, oblanceolate, acute floral bract.
