Found in Ecuador and Bolivia at elevations of 400 to 650 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with rounded, abruptly narrowing below into the subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a fascile of erect, longer than the leaf, single flowered inflorescence.
