Common Name The Covered Column Pleurothallis

Flower Size 1/6" [4mm]

Found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Ecuador in wet montane cloud forests at elevations of 300 to 1300 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome, giving rise to a short ramicaul enveloped basally by 2 to 3 close, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, narrowly elliptic leaf that gradually narrows below into an indistinct petiole and blooms in the fall and early winter on a slender, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul.

CAUTION I am not happy with the third and fourth photos as the lip shape, color of the flowers and the petals which are not spatulate do not conform to the descriptions. The first two photos seem to be correct.
