Found in Morona-Santiago province of Ecuador without location as a mini-miniature sized, caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls with 2 thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, erect, narrowly obovate, subacute, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a fascile of filamentous, arising laterally from the ramicaul1, .2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long, successive single flowered inflorescence with a half as long as the pedicel floral bract.
"Distingusished by the small oblanceolate leaves, a fascile of successive flowers borne near the tips of the leaves. The sepals with caudate-clavate apices, short, acute, sparsely ciliate petals and a thick lip with a convex, rounded, ciliate apex and small basal lobes. An oval shiny patch below the middle is similar to that of P aristata" Luer 2006
