Common Name or Meaning The Little Crowned Pleurothallis [refers to the fringed cavity at the base of the lip]

Found in Narino department of Colombia at elevations around 2200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 thin tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, narrowly elliptical, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a lateral, slender, 1" to 2" [ 2.5 to 5 cm] long, congested, fascile of successively single flowered inflorescence with thin, tubular, imbricating floral bracts.
