Found in Napo Ecuador at elevations around 1500 meters as a small sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte with fasciculate, erect ramicauls enveloped with a tubular sheath near the middle and 2 or more imbricating tubular sheaths at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a few, secund, simultaneously many flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe with an annulus and with oblique inflated floral bracts.
