Found in Trujillo Venezuela at elevations of 2000 to 2400 meters as a medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls with a tubular sheath below the middle and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, erect, thinly coriaceous, narrowly elliptical-obovate, subacute, acuminate narrowly cuneate below into the slender petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an arching, 2 to 4.4" [5 to 11 cm] long including the .8" [2 cm] long peduncle, loosely few flowered inflorescence arising from a spathe a short distance below the ramicaul apex and has a closely infundibular floral bract.
