Found in Narino Colombia at elevations around 3200 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with approximate below, proliferating above, stout to slender, erect to suberect ramcauls with a loose tubular sheath near the middle and 2 to 3 imbricating others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, slender, 4 to 8.8" [10 to 22 cm] long, secund, simultaneously densely many flowered inflorescence arising through a foliaceous spathe with an annulus and has thin, tubular floral bracts.
