Found in Guatemala at elevations around 600 meters as a small sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with elliptic-obovate, basally channeled leaves that blooms in the spring on a elongateingto 16" [40 cm] long, successively single, many flowered inflorescence.

P juddii is in a group of closely related species, including P endotrachys, P dueterodunstervillei, P spectabilis, P pfavii, Pleurothallis dueteroremotiflora, P fulgens, P guanacastensis and P montezumae.
