Found in southeastern Brazil and northern Argentina in primary forests high up on mossy tall trees at elevations up to 1200 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, jointed, green stem carrying a single apical, erect, coriaceous, slightly coriaceous, green, oblanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on to 3 at once, racemose, 3.2" [8 cm] long, to 16 flowered,
