Found in Imbabura Ecuador at elevations around 1200 to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect, slender, slightly compressed above ramicauls enveloped by a close, tubular sheath at the base and 1 to 2 shorter ones and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, acute, narrowly cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the winter and summer on an erect?, arching? , 1.2 to 1.8" [3 to 4.5 cm] long including the 1" [2.5 cm] long peduncle, looosely few flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the base of the leaf
