Found in Choco' Colombia in cloud forests at elevations around 2050 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, suberect to erect ramicauls enveloped below a thin tubular sheath in the lower half and 1 to 2 others about the base and carrying a single, apical, spreading, more or less horizontal, coriaceous,narrowly ovate, acute, subcordate to rounded below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on a loose, secund, slender, reclining in the sulcus of the leaf, .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long including the .4" [1 cm] long peduncle, simultaneously 4 flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the base of the leaf and has a thin, infundibular floral bract.
