Found in Rio de Janiero and Mato Grosso States of Brazil in primitive forests in partial shade at elevations of 1000 to 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect ramicauls carrying a single, apical, erect, fleshy, light green, linear-lanceolate leaf that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, wiry, 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long, 2 flowered inflorescence
