Common Name or Meaning Schudel's Pleurothallis [American Cultivator of species current]

Found in Zamora-Chinchipe and Imbabura provinces of Ecuador at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2, thin, tubular sheaths and carrying single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, subacute to obtuse, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring and summer on a filiform, to 1" [2.5 cm] long, loose, subflexuous, flexible, successively few flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
"Differs from P macroblepharis in the smaller habit and flowers with slightly thickened apices of the tails. The lip is oblong, obtuse, convex and covered by minute verrucae. The margin is fringed with white hairs." Luer 2006
