Found in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica at elevations of 1200 to 1550 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly to broadly elliptic-obovate, subacute to obtuse, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on an erect, to 3.2" [8 cm] long, lax, distichous, flexible, flexuous, successively several flowered inflorescence arising laterally from the ramicaul with oblique floral bracts.
