Found in Surinam, Fr Guiana, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and northern Brazil in lowland forests at elevations of 10 to 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with slendre, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, obtuse, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on a erect, fliamentous, fascile of successive single flowers arising laterally from the ramicaul
