Found in southern and southeastern Brazil in primary wet montane forests at elevations of 1200 to 1300 meters as a miin-miniature to miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an erect ramicaul enveloped by 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly lanceolate, dark olive green to light green, papery to fleshy, faintly condupl;icate, sopeckled dark purple beneath leaf that blooms in the spring and early summer on an erect, 4 to 6" [1o to 15 cm] long, successively up to 4, 6 flowered inflorescence.
