Found in Burundi as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte in dense forests at elevations around 1500 meters with ovoid or cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, oblong or obovate, acute, leaf with erose margins that blooms on a 4 to 7" [10 to 17.5 cm]long, arching, many succesively single flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers occuring mostly in the fall but can occur at most any time.
