Found in Zaire and Rwanda in montane and gallery forests at elevations around 2850 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing epiphyte on trunks of small trees with slender, fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped by a few papery, imbricating sheaths and carrying 3 to 6, narrowly lanceolate to lanceolate-elliptic, acute to obtuse, obscurely and unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal, glabrous, simple to 1 to 2 branched, 1.6 to 4" [4 to 10 cm] long, 4 to 30 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute to apiculate, glabrous floral bracts.
