Common Name Sergio's Porroglossum [Sergio Restrepo - First collector of species]

Found in northwestern Colombia as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte at elevations around 2050 meters with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 close, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, smooth, narrowly elliptic, acute leaf that is gradually narrowed below into the petiolate base and blooms in the spring on a slender, erect, 8" to 9 3/4" [20 to 24 cm] long, successively single flowered, racemose inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with 3 distant, tubular bracts.
