Found in Tasmania in native grasslands and grassy woodlands at elevations around 200 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in spring on an erect, 10 to 20" [25 to 50 cm] long, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, scented flowers
