Found in Tasmania Australia on steep slopes and ridges in sparse grassy forests at elevations around 350 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 6 to 16" [15 to 40 cm] long, rachis 2.4 to 4" [6 to 10 cm] long, 7 to 15 flowered inflorescence carrying lightly scented flowers.
