Found in Tasmania in slashed native grasslands at elevations around 220 meters as a small to medium sized cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 11.2 to 15.8" [28 to 39.5 cm] long, 15 to 25 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, strongly scented flowers.
