Common Name The Waxy Prosthechea [refers to the plants surface]

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador in moderately wet oak forests at elevations of 900 to 2100 meters as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with rounded, oval, compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single leaf and blooms on a peduculate, 8" to 14" [20 to 35 cm] long, racemose inflorescence occuring in the spring and summer and carrying fragrant flowers.
