Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil on Vellozia at elevations of 1000 to 1400 meters as a small to large sized, cool growing epiphyte with elongate-fusiform, 3 noded pseudobulbs carrying 4, apical, distichous, cymbidiform leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, rachis to 3.2" [8cm] long, overall 18.8" [47 cm] long, successively several, many flowered inflorescence with small, acute floral bracts.
