Common Name The Sand Loving Pterostylis - In Australia The Sandhill Rustyhood

Flower Size 1.2 to 1.4" [3 to 3.5 cm]

Found in southeastern South Australia in Callitris woodlands at elevations of 10 to 150 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with a rosette of 8 to 12 leaves that blooms in the Australian winter and early spring with an erect, 4 to 10" [10 to 25 cm] long, 1 to 10 flowered inflorescence.
