Found only in the Western District of Victoria Australia at elevations of 150 to 250 meters in native grassland road reserves on basaltic rock outcrops in pockets of rich sandy loam as a miniature sized, cold growing litho-terrestrial with a stem carrying a basal rosette of several small, elliptic, subacute leaves that flowers in the spring in Austrialia on a to 12" [to 30 cm] tall, erect, 2 to 5 flowered inflorescence with 4 or so, tubular, acute sheaths and has successively opening flowers.
