Common Name Metcalfe's Pterostylis - In Australia The Large Kinked Greenhood

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in New South Wales, Australia on ridges and slopes among grass and shrubs in open forests at elevations 1000 to 1350 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a loose rosette of dark green, flat leaves when not blooming and blooms in the fall on an erect, 4 to 12" [10 to 30 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
