Found in Queensalnd, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania Australia at elevations of 10 to 900 meters in coastal heathlands in sandy peat loams as a miniature to just small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a globose tuber giving rise to an erect stem carrying several, round, acute, petiolate base leaves in a basal rosette and 2 small, 1 above the middle and the other below the middle, oval, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, 6" [15 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
