Found in Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia and Brazil in tropical wet forests at elevations of 220 to 1900 meters as a medium sized, erect then pendant growing, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a single, pointed, terete, elongate leaf and stem carrying a short single flowered inflorescence with the flower held close to the juncture of stem and leaf arising in the fall through spring.
