Common Name The Ujarras Pleurothallopsis [A town in Costa Rica]

Flower Size .1" [2.5 mm]

Found in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador in montane cloud forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 reddish sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coricaeous, dorsally carinate, tridenticulate, elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a .6" [1.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising from the base of the ramicaul and enveloped by a few scarious bracts.

CAUTION I have my doubts about the first determination even though the photo was taken in Guatemala by Behar as the lip does not conform with Luer’s drawing for this species. The Second photo taken by me in Colombia also does not conform to the lip shape drawn by Luer or Hamer
