Common Name The Waxy Flowered Robiquettia

Found in Papua and New Guinea and the Philippines as an epiphyte at elevations over 350 meters occuring on tree trunks as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with rather broad, strongly compressed, ancipitous stems carrying several, leathery, 2 ranked, at right angles to the stem, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the fall, winter, spring and summer on a racemose, conical, pendulous, 2.4 to 4" [6 to 10 cm] long, successively many flowered inflorescence that has a third of the flowers open at any one time.
