Flower Size 1 3/8" [3.3 cm]

Found from Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador on bushes on the edges of forests or in open areas as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphytic species found at elevations of 250 to 1350 meters with strongly laterally compressed, ellipsoid, ancipitous pseudobulbs enveloped almost completely by 2 to 3 imbricating, lower leafless upper leaf-bearing sheaths equal in length to the single apical, linear-lanceolate, conduplicate, acute leaf that is "v" shaped in cross section, and blooms in the winter on an axillary, pendulous, racemose, to 6" [15 cm] long, few [6 to 8] flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb through the leaf axil.

CAUTION I am not convinced that any of the photos presented are correct for this species, but I put them in order of probability of correctness.
