Found in Sao Paulo state of Brazil on scrub on high mountain ridges as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphtye with light green, laterally compressed ovoid pseudobulbs and carrying 2, apical, narrow, acute, deeply keeled, ovate, stiff leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on 2, axillary, 7.2" [18 cm] long, to 12 flowered inflorescence
