Common Name The Satipo Rodriguezia [Area in Peru]

Flower Size 1 3/5" [4 cm]

A small sized, cool to warm growing, Peruvian epiphytic species found on the eastern slopes of the Andes of Junin Peru in wet montane forests at altitudes of 750 to 900 meters with a long rhizome and well spaced, ovate, strongly latereally compressed, longitudinally rugose and ridged pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 4 to 6, distichous, imbricating, leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single, apical, narrowly oblong, leathery, obliquely bilobed apically, "V" shaped in cross-section towards the base leaf, that blooms in the fall on an axillary, pendant, to 3" [to 7.5 cm] long, racemose, few to several [4 to 12] flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers.
