Common Name The Violet Scaphyglottis [refers to the flower Color]

Flower Size .1" [2.5mm]

Found in Fr Guiana, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil as an often pendant growing epiphyte with dark green to purple green, swollen stems carrying purple brown above, olove-green beneath leaves that blooms in the spring and summer in clusters at the apex of the stem.

Some references put this species as a synonym of S graminifolia but I have kept them separate for now.
