Found in southwestern Cape Province of South Africa in montane well drained slopes and rarely from swampy sandy sites in flatlands at elevations of sea-level to 600 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial with cauline leaves with free apices that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, 1 to 6" [2.5 to 15 cm] long, 2 to 6 [9] flowered inflorescence
