Common Name Elia's Sigmatostalix

Flower Size 3/8" [.9cm]

Found in Colombia and Ecuador as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters. Each oblong to egg-shaped, laterally compressed pseudobulb has 2 apical leaves and 3 sets of axillary leaves all green on the upper surface and purple and green on the lower surface. It blooms in the spring and summer on 1 or 2 per side, axillary, 8" long, bracteate, racemose inflorescence with several flowers.
