Found in Colombia as a small sized epiphyte with a flattened, longitudinally grooved pseudobulbs partially enveloped basally by a few distichous, imbricating, longitudinally folded leaf bearing sheaths carrying a single, linearto strap-shaped, bluntly pointed leaf that blooms on a to 5" [to 12.5 cm] long, axillary, paniculate inflorescence arising from the leaf axil of the leaf bearing sheath with several successive flowers
