Found in Peru in cool, very wet montane forests, around 1850 meters as a medium sized, cool to warm growing terrestrial species with slender, leafy stems carrying elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate, plicate, basally clasping leaves and blooms in the fall on a subsessile, single flowered inflorescence with short-lived, fragrant flowers.
