Found in the Comoros and northwestern Madagascar in humid montane forests at elevations of sea level to 300 meters on twigs and branches with an elongate stem giving rise to roots all along and blooms in the spring on a 2.8 to 6" [7 to 15 cm] long, 4 to 20 flowered inflorescence with small, obtuse floral bracts
