Common Name Lobb's Spathoglottis [English Orchid Collector 1800's] - in Thailand - Hua khao nieo

Flower Size 1 1/2" [4 cm]

This small to just medium sized, terrestrial species is from Burma where it is found to grow hot to warm and blooms on an erect, 2' [60 cm] long, many flowered at the apex, racemose inflorescence with successive opening flowers occuring in the summer and fall. This species is a synonym of or allied to Spathoglottis affinis with which it shares many common traits so I will leave them separate until more information comes to light,
