Found in China, Myanamar and Thailand in scrub and on grassy limestone slopes at elevations of 800 to 2500 meters as a small sized warm to cold growing terrestrial with an elliptic to ovate leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect, 4.8 to 16" [12 to 40 cm] long, papillose, 7 to many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, to triangular-ovate, acute to acuminate, 1 to 3 veined floral bracts.
