Found in Ecuador at elevations around 800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by a loose tubular sheath below the middle and 1 to 2 others below and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on 2 to 8, apical, erect, congested, secund, 2.8 to 3.2" [7 to 8 cm] long including the .32 [8 mm] long peduncle, mostly simultaneous, several flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe from an annulus below the apex of the ramicaul and has oblique, acute floral bracts.
