Found in Mrona-Santiago and Cotopaxi provinces of Ecuador at elevations around 800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by a loose tubular sheath below the middle and 1 to 2 others below and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on 2 to 8, arising through a spathe from an annulus below the apex of the ramicaul, apical, erect, congested, secund, 2.8 to 3.2" [7 to 8 cm] long including the .32” [8 mm] long peduncle, mostly simultaneous, several flowered inflorescence with oblique, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts carryiojng flowers with light rose-yellow sepals, salmon petals amd a salmon lip.

"Characteized by a caespitose habit and 2 to 8 or more, elongated peduncles, each bearing a short, congested, simultaneously 6 to 8 flowered raceme with all the flowers facing in the same direction. The number of racemes in flower simultaneously is unknown. The sepals are broadly ovate and obtuse, the petals are transverse and single veined and the shallow lip with a broadly rounded apex is distinguished by a single callus on the concave dorsum. The anther is proportionally large with a cellular-granular surface and the stigmatic lobes are proportionally small." Luer 2007
