Found in Peru at elevations around 2200 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a fan of distichous, imbricate, leaf-bearing sheaths carrying narrowly oblanceolate, acute, attenuate to the conduplicate, subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the later summer on a short, axillary, terete, laxly erect, 2" [to 5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a tubular floral bract.
