Found in Java at elevations around 1600 to 1700 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect, square in section, thin stem carrying a single,half way up the stem, heart-shaped, acuminate, sessile leaf and a similar leafy bract beneath each flower that blooms in the fall on an erect, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence
