Found in penninsular Malaysia in Kedah at elevations around 1130 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with a rhizomatous, densely hary rooted tuber giving rise to an erect, 4 angled stem enveloped basally by a cataphyl carrying a single, sessile, cordate, auriculate basally leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, 4 angled, peduncle .66 to .92" [1.7 to 2.3 cm] long, rachis .6 to 1.68" [1.5 to 3.7 cm] long, 1.28 to 2.4" [3.2 to 6 cm] long overall, 1 to 2, successively 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with a leaf-like, cordate, sessile, acuminate floral bract and carrying resupinate, widely opening flowers
